Hackathons

MaaS360 Geek Republic (MGR) is internal Hackathon conducted to tickle innovative and curious minds to come up with an idea and build awesome things to make it a reality. MGR is the one hackathon event that every MaaSter looks forward to. It is a fun filled event designed to give the best possible environment for participants to turn their ideas into cool demos. The MGR event nudges our grey matter to wriggle out of our comfort zone and get innovative, knowledgeable and creative by exploring. It helps to showcase high quality craftsmanship through innovation.

  • MGR XX : Spirit of MGR, March 2021
    Developed 4 Projects as part of MGR XX. Each Project was done with intention to improve User experience and/or developer experience.
  • MGR XVIII : Winner, March 2020
    MGR XVIII was conducted at the start of Covid 19 pandemic. Designed a solution to ensure safety of our customers and users using MaaS360. Came up with a way to use existing MaaS360 with bit of enahcement to help customer identify potential Users with travel history and built a employee contact tracing to minimize spread and take preventive measures. Along with that, proposed a way to use this as a security idea for insider threat detection.
  • MGR XVII : Best Innovation, Oct 2019
    Currently figuring out if groups for device takes upto 24 hours. Designed a solution for resolving group for device in almost realtime with optimized performance. This delivers a huge advantage to MaaS360 product and its customers.


  • MGR XIX : Special Mention, Oct 2020
    Privacy First. Designed and implemented a solution for MaaS360 with Privacy First approach to show our commitement towards data privacy. This is a step forward in Zero Trust Security Model.
  • MGR XV : Product Integration, March 2018
    TimeBased OTP for MaaS360 Login. Designed and implemented time based OTP 2FA for Login. Project was picked up and shipped in next 30 days. It was solving a need to faster, more secure and reliable 2FA. It also helped with FedRAMP compliance for MaaS360
  • MGR XIV, June 2017
    MaaS360 Dev. Developed a gradle based task for setup of MaaS360 Development Environment in local system along with build and deploy apps with single task. This helped developers save lot of time and efforst during developement. Automated way for local setup also ensure no human error and replica of test environment.
